Reeking of alcohol, William Stryker groggily hauled himself off the couch. He staggered through the scattered beer cans, kicking them aside as he stumbled toward the bathroom.
Ever since his activities had been exposed, he had been stripped of all his positions and left with nothing to do.
That alone would have been bearable. Such ups and downs meant little to Stryker, and he had the patience to wait for a chance to make a comeback. But seeing a bunch of ignorant fools sympathize with mutants made him utterly miserable.
Worse still, his Experimental Base had been stormed and destroyed, and all his mutant tools had been taken away by the X-Men. His plans had been ruined in one fell swoop, leaving him at a loss for what to do. Now, all he could do was numb himself with alcohol.
Turning on the faucet, Stryker cupped some cold water and splashed it onto his face, clearing his head a little.
I can't keep going on like this!
With his entire head under the running faucet, Stryker pulled himself together again.
His lifelong ambition was to wipe out every mutant in the world. If he kept wallowing like this, he would never have a chance to fulfill it.
Although his laboratory base had been destroyed and he had been stripped of everything, Stryker had saved up some money over the years. He had also made backups of some of his mutant research.
Most importantly, he knew plenty of high-ranking officials and wealthy businessmen who hated and discriminated against mutants just as he did. He could absolutely contact them and get their support to continue his previous plans.
That's right! That's exactly what I'll do!
A sharp gleam flashed in William Stryker's eyes.
Although the exposure of what had happened at Alkali
