Multicolored lights formed spider-themed patterns around Peter Parker, then all contracted into his body. A brilliant glow erupted from him, and when it faded, it revealed a sleek, high-tech suit of black armor and the conspicuous Rider Belt around his waist.
Spider-Man's spectacular transformation stunned both The Lizard and the watching crowd.

While The Lizard was still stunned, Peter Parker quickly fired a huge web from his wrist, casting it over his dazed opponent's head.
In his spare time between researching the antidote, Peter Parker had also given his Web-Shooters a thorough upgrade. Besides the usual strands, they could now fire nets for capturing targets, extra-sticky globs, multiple shots in a spread, and various other patterns.
Knowing his web would not hold The Lizard for long, Peter Parker quickly switched modes after firing it and shot an extra-sticky glob of webbing straight into The Lizard's face.
"I'll kill you, Spider-Man!"
The Lizard flailed his arms, tearing away the webbing wrapped around him, then clawed frantically at his face. He regained his vision, but scratched up his face in the process.
Seething with rage, he lunged at Spider-Man and thrust his sharp claws at him.
Screeeech-
The sharp claws scraped across Spider-Man's chest with an ear-piercing screech, but did not hurt him at all.
"Looks like killing me might be a little difficult for you."
Peter Parker blinked, seized his chance, and drove into The Lizard's chest. He wrapped his arms around his waist, lifted him, and slammed him into the ground with a bridging German suplex.
After straightening up, Peter Parker still had no intention of stopping. He grabbed The Lizard's tail and swung him into the ground... just as The Lizard had done
