It goes premium next year/tomorrow...

First, I want to thank all the readers who have supported me all this time. Thank you for enjoying the novels I write.

Next, I want to thank my editor, Penglai. Recommendations for this book have barely ever stopped, and Penglai even helped secure a launch-day splash-screen promotion... I was looking after my sick cat at the time and nearly missed out on that huge promotional opportunity...

Following the usual routine, this should be where I give you a sob story...

Please subscribe and support me, everyone! Otherwise, I won't even be able to afford Zhongyuan's cat food!

End of sob story.

Let's talk about updates after the book goes premium. My writing speed is pretty pathetic, so massive bursts of chapters are basically out of the question. Maintaining 4,000 characters a day would already be impressive enough (for me). Of course, I'll still post a little extra on the first day: one whopping 10,000-character chapter.

As for adding an extra update for every certain number of subscriptions/monthly votes/tips... I won't be doing that either... Although I do have some chapters saved up, those are reserves to make sure I don't miss updates. It would be pretty stupid to miss updates later just for a moment of satisfaction now.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, a veteran in the writers' group said one 4,000-character chapter is better than two 2,000-character chapters. I don't know whether that's true, but I decided to trust that advice this once. The total character count is the same anyway, and I'm sure you aren't the sort of silly monkeys who'd get upset over three nuts in the morning and four at night instead of the reverse.

Personally, I don't like asking for tips, because I think those should be extra
