This was the crossroads of Chaos, where powers from every side converged and all manner of people mingled. There were holy temples of light and eerie monster nests; merchants hawking rare treasures from countless realms and desperadoes accepting all kinds of dangerous jobs. The air was thick with complex scents, where opportunity and danger coexisted.
The Great Elder brought Bao Bao through a long-distance teleportation array and arrived at a Reception Platform on the outskirts of the Anchor. After paying a hefty "entry fee," the two entered this bizarre and dazzling giant city.
It was Bao Bao's first time in such a prosperous—chaotic—place. It looked around curiously, its silver-gray body inconspicuous amid the bustling crowds. The Great Elder, meanwhile, was thoroughly familiar with the place and led it straight toward Myriad Manifestations Thoroughfare in the city center—the core area for posting and accepting missions and exchanging intelligence.
Thoroughfare Plaza was enormous. At its center stood an All Realms Spirit Communication Wall that pierced the clouds. Brilliant streams of light flowed across its surface, displaying requests for aid, bounties, lost-item notices, employment offers, and other messages from every world in countless languages. Their contents were bizarre and varied, as were the rewards.
