The Return Journey

Ye Lei walked to the edge of the pit and looked down at the girls inside. The corners of his mouth curled slightly, and with a twitch of his fingers, several stone pillars rose from the top of the pit, turning it directly into a cage.

The girls looked at Ye Lei with pleading expressions.

"Let us out! We'll give you money—however much you want! Just name a price! Please, let us out! Okay?"

"Money? The Ye Family has no shortage of money!"

Ye Lei did not speak. The voice came from behind him as Ye Junqing approached at an unhurried pace and stopped before the pit.

Ye Junqing raised a hand and patted Ye Lei on the shoulder.

"Son, let's go. Your father has already called the police. Let them handle the rest."

With that, Ye Lei and Ye Junqing turned and left, paying no attention to the cries of the girls trapped in the pit.

In the end, wings extended from Han Nuan's back and she flew up. After catching Ye Lei, she climbed directly onto his shoulders, tugging his ears with her cheeks still puffed up in anger.

The instant Han Nuan climbed up, Ye Lei instinctively held her legs, afraid she would not be seated securely and fall.

The four adults watched them playfully quarrel with knowing smiles.

Before long, police sirens rang out as several police cars sped into Wulin.

Guided by the girl who had been bullied earlier, they arrived at the scene.

Then they saw a sight they would never forget: a business van split in half, men in suits pinned firmly to the ground by stone, a young man smashed into another business van, and several girls trapped in a deep pit.

After learning what had happened from the bullied girl, the police quickly took action and brought all of them back to the station.

Tang Yunqing could only agree. After all, her martial soul was a fish.
