Ye Lei and the other three exchanged glances and simultaneously pressed their wristbands.
Whoosh.
Four beams of light flashed, and Ye Lei's group vanished from where they stood.
The wilderness.
A brilliant light lit up atop a massive magic array.
As the light faded, four figures were revealed.
Ye Lei and the others stepped down from the Teleportation Array and walked a few steps forward. Everything outside came into view.
Beyond the array stood grand, imposing buildings, all primarily white and platinum-gold, surrounding an enormous dark-blue vortex.
Ye Lei's group walked in, and their arrival drew the attention of the soldiers patrolling inside the buildings.
Before long, two soldiers carrying special weapons approached them.
"How did you get here?"
The aura emanating from the two soldiers bore down on Ye Lei and the others.
Other than Ye Lei, the remaining three all took a step back in unspoken agreement.
Ye Lei remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the two soldiers.
Two Soul Grand Masters. It seems the Elder Hall set up defenses here to prevent Soul Beasts from escaping that dark-blue vortex.
Ye Lei thought.
Ye Lei took off his wristband and handed it over. One of the soldiers accepted it, pulled out a device from his tactical vest, and placed the wristband on it.
Beep.
The device activated, emitting a red light that scanned the wristband.
A second later, a light screen emerged from the device and appeared before the two soldiers, displaying all of Ye Lei's information except for his martial soul and Soul Power.
One soldier compared the photograph on the light screen with Ye Lei, then returned the wristband and nodded, signaling that he could enter.
The other three hurriedly handed over their wristbands as well.
Soon, all four of them had entered.
