Ulti's fury was ultimately not enough to carry her through the entire run. In fact, she had completely run out of steam before even finishing half of the second lap, and could only lie on the ground watching Sirius lap her again and again.
Page One, on the other hand, lay atop the huge iron ingot Sirius was holding and followed him all the way to the finish.
Sirius was not having an easy time either. The ingot he held was much bigger and heavier than the one Yamato carried, and he still collapsed from exhaustion several times during the morning training.
Yamato fared much better. She only gradually began to tire in the final few laps and barely managed to complete the whole course.
But that was precisely what made this kind of training meaningful, wasn't it?
At breakfast, Ulti glared fiercely at Sirius as though she wanted to bore a dozen holes through him with her eyes.
