The next moment, everyone's pupils constricted. Beneath the bronze rust on the surface of the floating octagonal mirror, flowing mercury-like light faintly emerged. A fist-sized luminous pearl was embedded in each of its eight edges, and they now erupted with sunlight-like brilliance.
When the black pillar of light came crashing down, the mirror's surface suddenly rippled like water. The entire beam was forcibly drawn into the mirror, leaving behind only a humming vibration in the air.
Before the six-winged demonic beast could fold its membranous wings, a vertical slit of light resembling an eye suddenly opened in the center of the bronze mirror. A black pillar of light, identical to the previous one, shot out from it. It was thirty percent faster than before, and tiny purple arcs of lightning even coiled around its surface.

Before the demonic beast could react, all the fur on the back of its neck suddenly stood on end—a cold golden sword light sped toward it from behind.
The beast instinctively turned its head, but the sharp blade still grazed the side of its neck. The serrated spine of the sword tore open a foot-long wound, and dark green blood mixed with sparks sprayed out. A scorched stench immediately filled the air.
Before it could let out a howl, the air ahead suddenly twisted. A crimson spear wreathed in blazing flames had already reached its chest. The fire around its tip was crystalline, every spark resembling a tiny meteorite that warped the surrounding
