Zhang Tie felt his entire body grow light, as if he had instantly passed through a layer of slightly cool water. Before he could savor the sensation, it vanished, and a blinding white light suddenly flared before his eyes.
When his vision returned, he found himself floating in a void of darkness. Beneath him stretched a savage spatial rift, several yards wide and more than thirty yards long. Its edges were jagged like canine teeth, and from within it occasionally seeped an unsettling aura.
Deep within the rift, light and shadow blurred together. He could vaguely make out rolling mountains and mist-shrouded clouds.
Even more alarming was the faint aura drifting out of it—pure, yet carrying a primordial savagery wholly incompatible with the Spiritual Realm.
Though startled, Zhang Tie secretly circulated his cultivation technique. Once he sensed that he could freely employ the Lightning Void Technique and accurately detect the teleportation target he had prepared beforehand, the tension in his heart eased slightly.
