Zhang Tie naturally did not resist. He obediently followed a burly man toward a certain direction. Before long, they arrived at a beast-drawn carriage pulled by black-scaled horse beasts. "Get in and wait. We'll leave once everyone is here," the man said in a deep, booming voice before walking away, seemingly unconcerned that Zhang Tie might escape.
About half an hour later, another sixteen members of the alien race climbed aboard one after another. Only then did a middle-aged man in black armor slowly approach. He was not tall, but his face was covered in stubble and his hair was a mess, making him look like a sloppy man.
He paid no attention to the dozen or so people in the carriage and simply drove the beast carriage out.
Throughout the journey, the carriage remained silent. Everyone was like lambs awaiting slaughter. They would occasionally glance at the others, but the moment they were noticed, they quickly looked away.
Zhang Tie lay comfortably in the innermost part of the carriage, squinting at these alien race members. Yet he knew perfectly well that they were most likely being sent to White Tiger Camp as cannon fodder. White Tiger represented slaughter, and White Tiger Camp sounded like a vanguard camp. Once they went there, who knew how many of the dozen or so alien race members in the carriage would survive.
After roughly half a day's journey, the beast carriage slowly came to a stop. Urged on by the sloppy man, everyone jumped down and entered a military camp. White-armored soldiers stood all around it, and the entire camp radiated a murderous aura. It was clearly a barracks that often charged into battle.
Before long, Zhang Tie and the others were handed over and settled in a room. There were no beds
