Xu Xiao built his strength and gathered powerful allies before launching a purge of the Holy Spirit Cult and the imperial family. He emerged as emperor, with Feng Ling captured and the God Realm still looming as a future threat.

• Xu Xiao awakened the Sun and Double Pupil Martial Souls, summoned Xiang Yu and Xiao He, and began cultivating while concealing his strength from the watching gods.
• Xu Xiao gained powerful allies in Zu Chongzhi, Kong Deming, and Jing Hongchen, then acquired high-level soul rings and strengthened his abilities through the Ice and Fire Treasure Land and the Tower of Myriad Laws.
• Xu Xiao ordered his allies to attack the Holy Spirit Cult and the imperial family, while learning that Goddess Tang would eventually detect the changes in the empire and that he would need to become a god.
• Xiao He, Xiang Yu, and Jing Hongchen struck the Holy Spirit Cult, killing its elders and confronting Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao, while Zhongli Wu fled and was later killed by Xiang Yu.

Xu Xiao enthroned himself as emperor, brought Star Luo under his rule, and began preparing to unify the continent while training with Snow Empress and his companions. His journey led him to Huo Yuhao and Huo Yun'er, while Tang San searched for the Douluo Continent and turned to the God Realm Committee.

• Xu Xiao revealed Tang San’s scheme to Mu En, then sent Bai Qi to Shrek, where Bai Qi defeated Mu En and killed Elder Xuan, prompting Shrek to agree to cooperate with Xu Xiao.
• Xu Xiao brought Snow Empress into his life, taught her the Frost Art, and secured her agreement to become his empress, while Zu Chongzhi took control of Shrek’s Soul Tool Department.
• Xu Xiao ordered Xiang Yu to take command of the Evil Lord Soul Mech Master Regiment and Bai Qi to purge traitors and criminals before Xu Xiao was crowned emperor of the Taiyue Empire.
• Xu Xiao and Snow Empress defeated the Blazing Flame Bull Demon King, and Xu Xiao absorbed its soul ring before accepting Xu Jiujiu’s marriage proposal as the price of Star Luo joining his empire.
• Remnant Dream and Shattered Star killed Dai Hao, and Xu Xiao gave Xiao He authority to integrate Star Luo while summoning and assigning Bai Qi to train the Hundred Thousand Great Snow Dragon Cavalry.
• Xu Xiao set out to train without using his martial souls, taking Meng Hongchen, Ye Guyi, and Snow Empress with him, and met Huo Yun'er and Huo Yuhao in a forest town.

Xu Xiao returned to the world after five years away, brought Huo Yuhao to Shrek Academy, and guided him through a string of trials and new powers. The arc ended when Tang San's Divine Sense seized Wang Dong during her match, but Bai Qi drove it from her body.

• Dai Mubai rejected the Sea God's request to help recover Douluo Continent and told Zhu Zhuqing that Tang San was no longer the friend they had known.
• Huo Yuhao and Huo Yun'er gained their first Soul Rings in the Tower of Myriad Laws, while Du Busi attacked Xu Xiao and forced him into the Hundred Thousand Volcanoes.
• Xu Xiao survived the volcano, reached Level 77, and learned from Bai Qi that five years had passed before he returned to Sun Moon with Huo Yuhao.
• Xu Xiao brought Huo Yuhao to Shrek Academy as his student and took charge of Class One, where Huo Yuhao defeated Xu Shanshi and later won the freshman tournament with Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao.
• Xu Xiao expelled Dai Huabin and made Zhu Lu Huo Yuhao's servant, then took Huo Yuhao to the Far North Land to awaken his second Martial Soul with the Ice Bear King Xiao Bai.

He then brought Huo Yuhao to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Yu Hao severed Tang San’s influence over the Auspicious Beast and Xu Xiao began plotting to take honey from a bee hive.

• Xu Xiao led an assault on the Body Sect, killed Du Busi, and ordered the Twelve Zodiac Generals to prepare for the Heaven Dou Empire campaign.
• Xu Xiao hunted the King of Fire Element while Yue Fei helped Shrek’s team advance through the tournament, and Ye Cuiming was abducted by a mysterious black-robed man.
• Yue Fei killed the Star Luo ancestor after he threatened Xu Jiujiu, and Shrek defeated Sun Moon Royal Spirit Master Academy to win the tournament.
