Background / History

Physician in Qingshan Town

Xiao Yi Xian lived in Qingshan Town for several years and served as a core physician of the Myriad Medicine Pavilion. Her treatment of countless mercenaries earned her a reputation for kindness and gave her enough local standing to deter many people who coveted her. Behind that reputation, she concealed her Calamity Poison Body and its growing craving for poison 9 12.

Obtaining the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture allowed her to identify her constitution and begin developing its power. She initially lacked even a basic Dou Qi cultivation method, relying on the scripture and poisonous medicines instead. Mr. Yao pressured her to surrender the scripture while keeping her residence under close guard 9 11 16 19.

Meeting Lin Ran and Leaving the Pavilion

Lin Ran entered her poison-filled room and exposed his knowledge of her constitution. He then forced her to consume enough poison to risk an eruption, despite her warning that it could devastate Qingshan Town. Using Pure Yang Dou Qi and the Joyful Zen Ultimate Bliss Art, he absorbed the excessive poison without allowing it to harm the surroundings 10 11 12.

After learning that his power could suppress and purify her Poison Dou Qi, Xiao Yi Xian agreed to follow him. Their arrangement offered her protection from her constitution while supplying him with special Dou Qi useful to his cultivation 12 14.

Mr. Yao and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group subsequently surrounded her residence, demanding information about Xiao Yan and the cave treasures. Xiao Yi Xian revealed that she had already poisoned the surrounding air and withheld the antidote until her departure could be secured. Her exposure as a Poison Master turned the mercenaries' admiration into fear and suspicion; Lin Ran protected her when Mu She launched a lethal attack 15 16 17.

Cultivation and Travel

Lin Ran taught Xiao Yi Xian the fundamentals of cultivation and offered her two Earth-tier methods. She chose Ice Venerable Strength after learning that it had belonged to an Ice Venerable who also possessed a Calamity Poison Body 19.

She accompanied Lin Ran to Black Rock City's auction, where she presented their fifth-grade Recovery Pills for appraisal. Later, during a spar with Qing Lin, her Poison Dou Qi overcame the Two-headed Fire Spirit Snake despite its advantage against her ice cultivation 22 23 56.

Her travels also provided practical combat training. Lin Ran had her use poison against factions that preyed on common people, and at Town Ghost Pass she deployed both poisonous mist and ice power against attacking guards. She subsequently cultivated in Jia Nan Academy's Inner Academy, primarily practicing Ice Venerable Strength while her poison body remained suppressed 84 143 186.

Two Years of Independent Growth

During Lin Ran's two-year unconsciousness, Xiao Yi Xian repeatedly activated her Calamity Poison Body to gain strength. She became known in the Chuyun Empire as the Heavenly Poison Girl, advancing from newly attained Dou Ling to peak Dou Wang. At major bottlenecks, she sought battle pressure rather than depending entirely on absorbed poison 185 186.

Against Wu Tian Mansion, she killed a one-star Dou Huang elder after swallowing his poisonous Dou Qi. She then confronted the peak Dou Huang Wu Ya and fully unleashed her poison body. As her breakthrough began, Lin Ran intervened, Wu Ya was killed, and Lin Ran stabilized her surging Dou Qi before addressing her constitution 185 186.

Poison Pill and the Chuyun Empire

Repeated awakenings had weakened the effectiveness of Pure Yang suppression. Lin Ran therefore used the Saint Gold Fallen Heart Flame, an eighth-tier Heavenly Poison Scorpion Dragon Beast's Magic Core, Bodhi Body Transformation Saliva, and his essence blood to help Xiao Yi Xian form a Poison Pill. This restored her vitality and placed her poison body under her own control 186 187 188.

After reaching six-star Dou Huang, she chose to remain in the Chuyun Empire to grow stronger and help Lin Ran. She founded the Poison Sect and established a Space Wormhole connecting its resources to the Saint Rain Sect 188 217.

The sect's rapid development provoked Xie Bi Yan and a coalition of the empire's strongest cultivators. Zi Yan deployed the Human Scorpion Corpse Soul Puppet against them. Although Xiao Yi Xian had intended to strengthen her new sect gradually, the confrontation pushed her to accept the prospect of taking control of the empire—a decision reinforced during her reunion with Lin Ran 217 218.

Appearance

Xiao Yi Xian initially has a fresh, ethereal bearing and a tranquil smile; cultivating Ice Venerable Strength later adds a colder, more aloof quality 9 19.

  • Clothing: Commonly wears a white gown, initially secured with a green sash 9 15.
  • Build: Notably slender waist and fair skin 9 19.
  • Hair: White by the time of her battle with Wu Ya and reunion with Lin Ran 186.
  • Eyes: Grayish-purple in ordinary combat; when she unleashes her poison body, her left eye becomes deep purple and her right becomes gray. Full stimulation of its origin turns both pupils pure gray 185 186.
  • Activated features: A blood-red forehead symbol appears when she unleashes the constitution. In combat, her nails can extend half a foot and carry deadly grayish-purple poison 185.
  • Recovery: Poison Pill formation stops poison from leaking through her skin and restores a healthy rosy complexion 188.

Personality

Xiao Yi Xian's gentleness is genuine, but it does not prevent firm self-defense. Before gaining substantial cultivation, she used poison to incapacitate unwanted suitors. When threatened by Mr. Yao and the mercenaries, she calmly employed a delayed poison while explicitly stating that she did not wish to kill them 16 17.

Her greatest early fear is harming innocent people through an uncontrolled eruption. She values the peaceful years she spent in Qingshan Town and initially resists excessive poison consumption because of the danger to its inhabitants. Recognizing Qing Lin's isolation and insecurity, she responds with sympathy and offers her a Blood Qi Pill 11 49.

She becomes increasingly bold and affectionate toward Lin Ran, while remaining driven to become useful to him. Qing Lin's effortless cultivation feedback makes her feel competitive pressure, and Lin Ran's prolonged absence pushes her into relentless training. Despite her later combat confidence, she acknowledges that she lacks the administrative experience of Yun Yun and Cai Lin 80 87 186 217 218.

Abilities & Skills

Calamity Poison Body

Her innate constitution converts consumed poison into cultivation power and produces exceptionally potent Poison Dou Qi 10 11.

  • Poison absorption: Can swallow an opponent's poisonous Dou Qi and immediately turn it into her own power 185.
  • Exceptional resistance: Consumes the Soul Infant Demonic Tree's poison without significant discomfort, despite its resistance to treatment even by peak Dou Zun experts 188.
  • Above-realm threat: Her early Poison Dou Qi defeats a Dou Ling-equivalent Fire Spirit Snake. At six-star Dou Huang, a controlled release of her poison body allows her to contend with Dou Zong experts 56 188.
  • Uncontrolled eruption: Excessive poison consumption can overwhelm her control and endanger both her life and the surrounding population 11 187.
  • Environmental contamination: Released poison can corrupt natural energy, preventing enemies from safely replenishing their reserves 186.

Poison Pill and Constitution Control

The Poison Pill gathers her accumulated toxins into a controllable core. Once completed, it prevents spontaneous eruptions and allows her to reclaim released poison even after fully unleashing the constitution 13 187.

Control method Requirements or mechanism Outcome
Pure Yang suppression Lin Ran's power purifies her Poison Dou Qi, strengthens its intensity, and cleanses her meridians without weakening her cultivation 14. Effective during their time together, but potentially insufficient after her repeated awakenings over two years 186.
Poison Pill Method Normally requires three Heavenly Flames, a seventh-tier Heavenly Poison Scorpion Dragon Beast's Magic Core, and Bodhi Body Transformation Saliva 13. Successfully performed using a fused three-flame Heavenly Flame, an eighth-tier core, Bodhi saliva, and Lin Ran's essence blood 186 187.
Ancient tomb inheritance A control method reportedly exists in a former Calamity Poison Body possessor's tomb in the Central Continent 13 186. Proposed as a future investigation; no acquisition is documented in the supplied chapters 186.

Ice Venerable Strength

An Earth-tier ice-attribute cultivation method selected under Lin Ran's guidance. Xiao Yi Xian combines its freezing power with her poison rather than treating them as separate combat styles 19 185.

  • True Ice Freeze: Releases intense cold and freezes poison-laden moisture into ice pellets for a ranged barrage 185.
  • True Ice Prism Crystal: An ice projectile used to strike the Wu Tian Mansion elder's chest, releasing poison upon impact 185.
  • Area freezing: Covers the gates of Town Ghost Pass with frigid power 84.
  • Limitation: The Two-headed Fire Spirit Snake counters her ice power, forcing her to rely on Poison Dou Qi during the spar with Qing Lin 56.

Heavenly Poison Palm

A grayish-purple palm attack used after unleashing her Calamity Poison Body 186.

  • Releases lethal mist that impairs an opponent's speed and agility.
  • Corrodes Wu Ya's blood-red energy centipede, injuring him through its connection to his vital blood.
  • Threatens serious injury even to a peak Dou Huang opponent 186.

Medicine and Poison Preparation

Xiao Yi Xian prepares medicinal powders, poisons, and antidote formulas, but explicitly states that she is not an alchemist and cannot refine pills 17 20.

  • Healing powders: Combines basic ingredients such as Blood Coagulating Grass and Vitality Fruit to treat injuries 20.
  • Airborne poison: Seeds the air around her residence to poison visitors without food, drink, or direct contact 17.
  • Delayed effects: Her residence poison can cause mental paralysis or death within a month and can affect even a Da Dou Shi 17.
