Questioning Thirteenth Brother? Teaching the Ancestral Witches How to Behave with Scientific Construction Methods!
After dealing with the Western Duo, Buzhou Mountain finally became peaceful.
Inside the temporary stone hall Xizi had carved out with the Law of Wind, Xuanzheng gathered several elder brothers responsible for frontline construction.
"Come take a look. This is the construction plan Father God bestowed upon us." Xuanzheng pushed several beast-hide blueprints across the table.
Gonggong was the first to step forward. After one glance, his massive head shook like a rattle drum. He slapped the stone table, sending fragments of rock raining down.
"Thirteenth Brother! Are you insulting my Great Dao of Water?"
He pointed at the red lines on the blueprint, which looked like earthworms fighting. "I know every water vein in this mountain like the back of my hand, even with my eyes closed! Why did you make them so twisted, winding through eighteen bends? What kind of logic is that? Just punch straight through and channel in the Water of the Heavenly River—simple, forceful, and solid!"
Zhurong was even more direct. He grabbed the metal plate covered in symbols, sparks shooting from his nostrils.
"Troublesome! When I, Zhurong, forge artifacts, I rely on a single blaze to melt all things! The better the materials and the fiercer the fire, the stronger the treasure! Smelting in stages and controlling the heat like this is something women would do!"
"Please calm down, Brothers."
A "pure" smile hung on Xuanzheng's face as he remained utterly composed.
"Father God's revelation says this is not merely reinforcement. We are reshaping Buzhou Mountain's meridians. If we are off by even the slightest bit, it will clash with the rhythm of Father God's Spine. At that point, not only will we gain no merit, but we will commit a grave offense!"
"Father God again..." Gonggong and Zhurong exchanged a glance. Though still filled with doubts, the fact of Merit descending from Pangu Hall was right before them. They could not argue too fiercely, so they each took their blueprints and formulas and left to make arrangements, grumbling all the while.
The project officially began. Hundreds of millions of Wu tribesmen spread out at the foot of the mountain. The sight was magnificent, but also chaotic as a pot of porridge.
One group of Wu tribesmen carried boulders together, staggering around aimlessly. Another group surrounded stones and hammered at them for half the day without producing a proper shape. Their efficiency was abysmal, and collisions were constant.
Seeing this, Xuanzheng strode out of the main tent and entered the most chaotic construction zone. His voice carried across the entire site. "All Wu tribesmen, heed my orders! From this moment onward, everyone will cooperate through division of labor!"
"Excavation Team, your only task is to get stones down from the mountain. The bigger, the better!"
"Transportation Team, your only task is to move the stones to designated locations!"
"Processing Team, stand here and use your fists to pound every stone brought to you into blocks like this!" Xuanzheng pointed at a sample stone.
"Construction Team, take these standardized stone blocks and stack them according to the blueprints!"
The moment the order was issued, uproar broke out. "I can do all the work alone, so why split it up?" "Exactly! When us Wu fight, we do it ourselves. Since when does one person throw punches while another hands him a blade?"
Xuanzheng said nothing. Dijiang's figure silently appeared, and he merely swept his gaze over the few Great Witches who had been complaining. All the noise stopped at once.
The Wu tribesmen could only reluctantly take their respective "posts."
At first, they felt awkward beyond measure. But half a day later, a miracle happened!
The excavators only excavated, the transporters only transported, and the pounders only pounded... The entire construction site transformed from a chaotic beehive into a terrifying war machine with precise structure and efficient operation! Boom! Boom! Boom! The synchronized pounding of stone sounded like ancient war drums, beating against every Wu tribesman's heart! A project that had once advanced only a hundred zhang per day now progressed more than ten times faster!
In the distance, Gonggong, who had been directing the water-vein construction, stared in stunned disbelief. He scratched his head, then looked at the "messy" blueprint in his hand. For the first time, his understanding began to waver.
Elsewhere, Zhurong was in an even sorrier state before his furnace. Ignoring the formula, he tossed all the divine materials into it in one go. Boom! The furnace exploded on the spot, billowing black smoke that singed part of his signature red hair and blackened his entire face.
After blowing up the furnace for the tenth time and nearly setting his beard on fire, he finally suppressed his temper and obediently followed Xuanzheng's formula, smelting the materials in batches while carefully controlling the heat.
When the final portion of material fused perfectly, and an entire block of strange alloy flowing with a Mysterious Yellow Halo floated steadily above the furnace, Zhurong was utterly stunned. This alloy was far sturdier than any divine iron he had ever forged!
Xuanzheng stood on the Mountain Peak, overlooking the bustling scene below. This was not merely about repairing a Heavenly Dao BUG. It was also about reshaping the soul of the Wu tribe—from brutes who only knew how to solve problems with their fists into a civilization that understood cooperation, division of labor, and creation.
[Buzhou Mountain Structural Stabilization Project. Current repair progress: 3%...] [Warning: Secondary BUG detected: Pangu_B073. Construction has stirred the Chaos Fiendish Qi within the mountain, creating a risk of a small-scale eruption. Recommendation: draw upon the power of the water veins and neutralize it in a spiral pattern within Area C3.]
Just then, an earth-shattering boom came from afar!
Rumble—!
The sidewall of an excavated section of mountain suddenly collapsed. A jet of ink-black Chaos Fiendish Qi, carrying an aura of corrosion, erupted forth and instantly swallowed dozens of Wu warriors!
Wherever the fiendish qi passed, even the hard rock emitted sizzling sounds!
"Not good!" Qiangliang, who had been supervising nearby, roared as countless bolts of lightning crashed down. Yet they could only disperse part of the fiendish qi and could not eradicate it.
Just as everyone believed those dozens of Wu warriors were doomed, a curtain of water descended from the sky, faster than Qiangliang's lightning!
It was Gonggong!
He did not hesitate in the slightest. It was entirely an instinctive action! The curtain of water did not strike with violent force. Instead, it transformed into a massive, complex spiral vortex, precisely enveloping, spinning, and grinding down the erupting Chaos Fiendish Qi!
This exquisite control was exactly the contingency plan for a weak point marked on the "messy" blueprint he had previously failed to understand!
So although he had cursed it aloud, his unwillingness to concede had driven him to memorize every detail of that blueprint, hoping to find a flaw.
The fiendish qi was ground away layer by layer by the flowing water. The dozens of Wu warriors were flung out, dirty and disheveled but otherwise unharmed.
The entire construction site fell silent for a moment.
All the Wu tribesmen looked at Gonggong in awe, then turned their eyes toward the "chief planner" on the Mountain Peak.
Gonggong himself stood frozen in place. He stared blankly at his hands, feeling the Water Law circulate in a wondrous manner unlike anything before.
A moment later, his huge body transformed into a streak of Water Light and appeared before Xuanzheng in an instant. With a smack, he slapped the beast-hide blueprint onto the rock at Xuanzheng's feet, his eyes wide as his voice trembled slightly.
"Thirteenth Brother... this blueprint... does it... does it understand water better than I do?"
