"Good! Then kill! The frontier lands, stretching for tens of millions of miles, forged the Empire's proud backbone! The frontier lands may be breached, but they will never surrender!" Ismir's expression was utterly ferocious, his eyes bloodshot from exhaustion. Facing the Orcs' tide-like assault, he was already physically and mentally drained. The defensive line he had painstakingly built seemed so powerless before the Giant Ogres' destruction! Houses were shoved down, and resisting soldiers were buried beneath the rubble...
"Roar!" Orcish howls came from the stone stairs. Ymir did not hold back either. He thrust the Serpent Sword into the darkness, and when he pulled it back again, several twitching corpses already hung from its blade.
"These bastards!" Ymir shook off the corpses. These Orcs were merely headless flies who had luckily charged into the castle and reached them. Most of the Orcs were still wandering around the castle blindly.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!" Heavy pounding came from the barricade in the distance, but the sound made everyone laugh.
"What's that noise? Are they clearing the barricade?" Ismir frowned.
"Have they lost their minds? The entire staircase is blocked by junk and stones. Even if we all died, they still wouldn't be able to dig through it!" Ymir shook his head mockingly.
"Idiots! Ignore them!" Ismir laughed angrily as well. Those scrawny Orcs wanted to clear those obstacles? Wherever Giant Ogres could not enter, Ymir was a god of war! Whether in strength or sheer mass, he crushed every humanoid species!
"They found us!" One of the militiamen had sharp hearing and quickly noticed the movement. Without another word, he raised his crossbow and fired into the darkness. Dense bolts vanished into the shadows, followed by a chorus of screams.
"Crack!" Hearing the commotion, the Nature Guardians immediately lowered their shields
