Schiller set down his utensils again, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and said, "If you're looking for that feeling, I suggest you find Harvey or Gordon. Either of them would visibly make a good father."

"Do you know why every conversation between us ends in such an unpleasant atmosphere?" Schiller asked, then answered himself. "Because you suspect everyone in this world equally, including me, while I hate everyone in this world equally, including you."

"Then..." Batman slowly began. "If I stopped suspecting everyone in the world, would you stop hating everyone in the world?"

"What did you say?" Schiller narrowed his eyes. Suddenly, Batman saw that manic smile appear on his face again, but Schiller quickly reached up and pulled down the corners of his own mouth. He shook his head hard.

"Damn it!" Schiller cursed, then muttered to himself, "Do you really believe that? You think Batman wouldn't suspect others? Not be so serious... no... Your smile is really ugly..."

Schiller looked as though he were fighting the air. With a clatter, the dinner knife fell to the floor. Gritting his teeth, Schiller told the demon beside him, "Claude! Throw him out! Toss him outside the castle!"

The burly demon moved toward Batman. Batman had no desire to clash with him, so he stood and headed out of the castle.

Just as he was about to leave the castle, he saw Schiller bend down, pick up the dinner knife, and begin wolfing down the food on his plate like a man who had been starving for ages.
