"I have some bad news and even worse news. Which would you like to hear first?" In the cryogenic laboratory at Gotham University, Victor looked at Batman and asked. Before Batman could answer, he continued on his own:

"The bad news is that there's something wrong with Gotham's rainwater and drinking water sources. The even worse news is that the problems aren't the same."

Batman frowned and looked at Victor, waiting for his conclusion. In the past, he would have examined the test results himself or taken samples back to the Batcave for research. But now, he only wanted to solve the problem as efficiently as possible. The process did not need to be scrutinized.

"I detected an unknown substance in the rainwater. It doesn't belong to any composition category currently known to us." As Victor spoke, he walked over to the lab bench, picked up a report, and said:

"To study the properties of this substance and the peculiarities of the rainwater, my students conducted many experiments. They discovered that this substance reacted with metal."

"What kind of reaction?" Batman asked.

"That remains unclear." Victor shook his head. "The reaction isn't visible to the naked eye. We only discovered it when we used a magnetic oscillator and observed the magnetic field feedback."

At that, Batman seemed to realize something. He turned to look at Zatanna. She stepped forward, looked at Victor, and said, "Can you reproduce the reaction? It may be related to magic."

She then explained, "To people without spiritual vision, magic is invisible. For example, I can pull a rabbit from my top hat. You can see the hat and the rabbit, but you can't see how the rabbit was conjured. Even if I used a transparent top hat, it would be the same."
