"Now that I've finished talking about myself, let's talk about you," Loki said, stubbing out his cigarette and taking another sip of water. "Honestly, I still haven't figured out what exactly you people do. What are these so-called universe timelines?"

Mobius paused. He first looked up at Loki, then said, "There are some basics I can explain to you, but you'd better not try to fish for information..."

Loki leaned back, propping his elbow on the armrest and resting his head on his hand. In a thoroughly relaxed posture, he said, "Come on. I know more about the futures of various timelines than you do. Maybe there's even something you want to ask me."

"Most universes have three timelines: the past, the present, and the future. Or rather, they're different points on the same line. But for ease of management, what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen are recorded separately by category."
