After passing through the portal at the Spider-Army base in the Multiverse, Peter found himself in another cramped space the next second. This was clearly outer space as well, but it was nowhere near as bright or spacious as the newly built Spider-Army base.

"Is this a space station?" Peter asked. He looked over the surroundings and found no trace of futuristic technology. On the contrary, exposed pipes ran everywhere, making it seem as though technology had regressed.

"This is a small space station above New York Sky Island, and the only space station under my control," Spider-Man 2099 explained. Familiar with the place, he led Peter into the station's living quarters.

There was a small window here, just large enough to show the Earth.

Peter had barely walked over before the sight before him left him stunned.

Outside the station was not the blue planet Peter knew, but the remains of a celestial body that had long since shattered into countless fragments.

Earth still roughly retained its spherical form, but more precisely, it had maintained a radial spherical shape, like a firework exploding. Countless fragments hung in different orbits, having long lost their former complete, rounded shape.

Mechanical facilities were embedded along the edges of every fragment, seemingly equipment used to maintain gravity and orbit. It was easy to see that these devices came in many different styles and likely belonged to different companies.

Many fragments were also connected by mechanical equipment. However, the machinery on the Sky Island main body was physical, while the connections between the Sky Islands resembled chains of energy.

There were so many energy chains that the naked eye could not distinguish them. Many abandoned sections had gone unrepaired. The endless chains of energy were like horrifying tentacles, constantly lashing about near Earth. The
