Watching Jonathan, covered in blood yet calm, being carried into the ambulance, Gordon stood at the entrance of the police station and shook his head. When he turned to look behind him again, Batman had vanished without him knowing when. Gordon sighed and muttered to himself:

"What the hell is going on? Why did he suddenly go crazy?"

Gordon looked down at his hands. He had pressed on Jonathan's wounds just now, and his hands were covered in blood. Even his cuffs and the edges of his shirt were stained.

Gordon turned, intending to return to the station's restroom to wash his hands, but the moment he stepped inside, he realized the soles of his shoes were bloody too. Every step he took left behind a bloody footprint.

Gordon felt that he should not create unnecessary trouble for the cleaning lady, so he planned to rub his shoe soles on the carpet. But as soon as he stepped onto it, he found that the carpet was covered in blood as well. The more he stepped, the worse it would get.

Holding his hands up, Gordon looked around and spotted two extra newspapers on the umbrella stand nearby. He leaned an elbow against the doorframe, grabbed the newspapers with his other hand, and began wiping his shoe soles.

But as he wiped, he seemed to remember something. He stepped back two paces, shook open the bloodstained newspaper, and stared at the dense text as he muttered, "Full-width separators..."

Gordon stared at the newspaper for a long time, but he actually had no idea what the difference was between full-width and half-width symbols. There was nothing unusual about the layout, either.

Gordon knew that he was not good at reasoning through text and images. He needed to find someone who was.
