The laboratory that appeared before Thomas was fairly advanced, but the problem was that it was too small and had too little equipment.

Thomas was Batman too, so he could tell that this place basically contained only lathes for making basic bat equipment, data storage devices, and computers for calculations.

Compared to other laboratories in this world, this place was advanced enough, but for Batman, it was nowhere near enough.

Thomas knew that the universe in his world was older than this one, but even so, the lab benches and facilities in his Batcave were far more advanced and far more numerous than these.

Thomas went inside and inspected the place, only to discover that the underground level of Wayne Manor in this universe was exactly what it seemed: poor and shabby, inside and out.

Thomas found no hidden doors, password doors, or other underground facilities. This was a very simple laboratory, stripped down to the bare minimum. Thomas even suspected that Bruce had made some of his equipment by hand, because even the lathe was missing some parts.

Thomas turned the place upside down, searching everywhere, but in the end, he had to admit that what he wanted probably was not here. He could only walk out and ask Alfred, "Where does Bruce usually keep his things?"

"Are you referring to his diary?" Alfred asked with a smile.

Thomas looked a little embarrassed. He shook his head and said, "No, no. I'm not trying to pry into his privacy. I mean, where does he keep his Batman equipment? I just want to see what his scientific research level is like."
