Venom's voice nearly cracked. He struggled to gather his mud-like body into shape, bulging a head out from the center as he stared fixedly at Batman before him. "Why are you here? How could you possibly be here? Why the hell are you here?!!!"

Batman looked the lump of sludge up and down. Soon, Stark, clad in his armor, appeared beside Batman. The two stood shoulder to shoulder, studying the sludge.

"Though I really don't want to admit it, I was indeed once one of his hosts. You probably were too." Stark turned to Batman and said.

"No, that wasn't me." Batman denied it. It sounded a little like sophistry, but it was indeed the truth. He said, "He most likely encountered another Batman. A younger Batman."

"Because otherwise, he would never have had the chance to meet you again. I wouldn't let an alien creature capable of parasitizing others and reading minds walk out of my head alive."

Venom shuddered violently, but he still asked in extreme confusion, "How did you two end up together? You clearly... clearly aren't from the same world! What the hell is Schiller doing???"

"You're right. He really is behind this." Stark smiled. "At least, that was how it started. But now..."

Venom trembled as he curled into a ball. Looking at the two enormous shadows cast over his body, he swallowed hard.
