After a while, Schiller drove all the excited scientists out. He waved to Spider-Gwen and said, "Since Mr. Riley is also a Spider-Man, he presumably isn't the Black Hand stirring up conflict behind the scenes. I'll have an agent come open the cage shortly, but you have to make sure he doesn't overreact."
Spider-Gwen waved dismissively. "Don't worry."
Then she turned to Riley and said, "You're not going to cause trouble inside S.H.I.E.L.D., are you? They're an organization that protects humanity's safety. Attacking agents and law enforcement officers isn't a good idea."
"I just want to understand what's going on." Riley pressed his lips together, showing a stubbornness different from Peter Parker's.
"Since you brought him here, Miss Gwen, you'll be responsible for explaining the situation to him. I'll prepare a comfortable meeting room and hot coffee for you. Go talk there."
Schiller left the interrogation room. After a while, an agent carrying a staff came in and opened Riley's cage. Spider-Gwen stood beside him, studying his face. "You don't look like an ordinary Spider-Man..."
"I'm not Spider-Man at all."
"Stop saying such stupid things, kid." Gwen Spider sounded young, but she always carried herself with the mature air of an elder sister. She shook her head and said, "I followed my Spider-Sense to find you. How could you not be Spider-Man? My Spider-Sense has never been wrong."
A dejected look appeared on Riley's face. "I'm just a fake—a clone with no independent consciousness, no memories, and no past."
"Don't be ridiculous." Spider-Gwen pushed open the next door and led Riley into the room. Pointing at the sofa across from them, she said, "Sit down. I'll explain the basics of this universe. Once you hear it, you won't have time to agonize over your past or your memories."
Riley hesitated,
