Stark stood at the Speeder boarding center, stunned outside the entrance for a full two minutes. Only when he turned and looked at the New York skyline did he realize that this universe might be a high-tech universe set in the future.
Stark took two steps back and checked the date displayed on the electronic screen above the center of the boarding center's entrance. It was even earlier than the year he had come from.
He guessed that human history on this Earth might have developed differently. At that moment, Stark's mind was filled with scenarios like a war for Earth's unification and evil robots occupying the planet.
But Stark was also somewhat confused. He was not like Shang-Chi; an ordinary college student would only interpret this as humanity possessing advanced technology. But as a top scientist, Stark understood that without a qualitative breakthrough in Materials Science, it would have been impossible to build aircraft like these. Yet if such a breakthrough had occurred, why were the residential buildings where he had landed still made of ordinary Rebar Concrete?
Even if the development of mechanical engineering and architecture had been uneven, the vehicles on the roads should have changed as well, instead of looking exactly the same as those in Stark's universe. If there was a material capable of building so many aerial vehicles, why had traditional road vehicles not been phased out? Why were trucks and freight vehicles still driving on the roads?
Stark suppressed his many doubts. He had come here with a purpose. He had to accomplish that most important goal first, then consider these questions.
Having gone through so much, Iron Man deeply understood how terrifying it was to be distracted during the execution of a plan. His thoughts were clear, but that firm resolve only
