The next morning, Stark, finally having gotten a full night's rest, woke up in the Lounge beside the laboratory. Looking at the bright sunlight beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows and the Speeders coming and going, he stretched, let out a long sigh, and prepared to start work.
To find the Spider-Man from his universe, he first needed to gather information and see whether there had been any unusual crash reports in news stories around the world, or any traces of that black fire.
More importantly, when Stark had first arrived, he had seen the Ten Rings symbol again. That meant his earlier suspicions might really have been right—Mandarin was definitely plotting something.
Even if it had nothing to do with Peter Parker, Mandarin stabbing the Avengers in the back while they were fighting Thanos was absolutely unacceptable.
Stark did not want to interfere too much with the course of another universe. Generally speaking, Iron Man was actually a pessimist. Oh, and focus on the paranormal section. See whether there have been reports of ghostly flames in different regions. Sort out the most suspicious ones and send them to me."
