In a ward at Arkham Asylum, Silk, dressed in a black-and-white uniform, sat beside Peter. Looking at his somewhat despondent expression, she said, "Peter, Doctor is doing this for your own good. In your current physical and mental condition, you're simply not fit to take part in a war."

"I know." Peter's voice was slightly hoarse. "I know I wouldn't be much help even if I went back. What could I change on my own?"

Silk opened her mouth, as if she wanted to say something, but ultimately held it back.

She had actually wanted to tell Peter that not long ago, Stark from this universe had come to her and asked her to use her special abilities to bring Iron Man from another universe here.

Silk had not wanted to agree, but after taking a look at that universe, she understood. There were wails and sobs everywhere, a scene of apocalypse, and that universe's Iron Man was in terrible condition as well.

Silk did not want a Spider-Man to lose his father forever. He had already suffered enough tragedy.

Softening, Silk found an opportunity to lure that universe's Stark into the Hong Kong Sanctum, one of the endpoints of the Spider Totem Multiverse passages.

Silk did not know that the true cause of it all was that Iron Man from this universe had noticed Schiller looking at him more and more strangely. He had hurriedly found some unlucky sucker to take his place, then carried off a spaceship and fled overnight.

She had thought Stark from this universe had pitied Peter and sent him to save Iron Man from that world.

But Silk had only just learned that the two of them, despite both arriving in this universe, had never met.
