Peter stood at the mouth of the alley, utterly bewildered.
He remembered jumping down from upstairs to protect his aunt, but why were Nick Fury and two unfamiliar Spider-Men standing there when he landed?
Webbing, standing behind Peter, was stunned as well. What had that blue light been just now? Why had Peter's wounds vanished in an instant?
Nick put One Hand's time reset device back into his pocket and looked first at Webbing across from him. "Did you see Schiller before you came here?"
"Uh, no." Webbing answered honestly. Feeling deeply guilty, she added, "I was the one who sneaked him out of the sanatorium. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. It's a good thing nothing happened."
After speaking, Webbing gave Peter a guilty glance. She had not expected this world to be so dangerous. If Nick had not arrived in time, something terrible might have happened.
"That's exactly the problem." Nick said, "Do you really think you could have run out of his sanatorium without that Doctor's permission?"
Webbing's eyes widened slightly. Nick sighed softly and said, "Go back now and tell Doctor Schiller exactly what happened here."
Then his remaining eye fell on Peter nearby. Peter had already rushed over and embraced Aunt May, staring worriedly at the wound on her body.
"Oh, Peter, you're back. That's wonderful!" Aunt May said weakly. "I thought you were dead. Thank goodness, thank goodness..."
Aunt May began to cry, trembling. Peter held her tightly. Then he suddenly felt a shadow fall over his head. Looking up, he saw a hand covered in a black gauntlet reaching toward him. Higher up was Shadow Spider-Man's arm, and a syringe rested in his palm.
"The latest healing serum. No side effects. Safe for ordinary people." Shadow Spider-Man introduced it concisely. Peter grabbed
