"So, you mean half the people in your universe have now vanished, while the Thanos from your universe is still holding a Gauntlet set with Infinity Stones and has returned to his home planet?"
Thanos, sitting behind the desk, took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes.
Loki, seated beside the desk with his arms folded, shook his head. "Why do I feel like everyone in the universe you described is so weak?"
Peter pursed his lips, lowered his head, and admitted somewhat embarrassedly, "Compared to the Central Universe, we are a little weak. Or rather, you're just too strong. Of course, it isn't Mr. Stark's or the Captain's fault. Mainly, the young heroes of our generation haven't grown up yet."
"No." Thanos denied it. "The key lies with Asgard's new God King—Thor."
"If the Thor in your universe had, like the one in ours, become the God of Light King in charge of the thunder of creation and the fire of civilization, guarding Asgard alongside All-Father Odin, then Thanos wouldn't dare assault the Nine Realms even if you gave him a hundred times the courage." Loki snorted.
Thanos did not deny that. He merely said calmly, "Everyone in the universe knows that confronting Asgard head-on is unwise. Ragnarok was originally the only opportunity, but unfortunately, in this universe, you have postponed that disaster indefinitely."
Loki gave a cold laugh. "Ragnarok is an open secret among the upper ranks of the Three Great Empires, but we all know you merely use the inevitable extinction of the gods to console yourselves, scraping together a pathetic shred of self-respect to soothe the trauma of being beaten senseless by Odin."
"Do you know what the Thanos of your universe is doing now?" Thanos asked, staring into Peter's eyes.
Peter did not dare meet
