Bruce had come to see Pamela not because of her research project. Mainly, he knew Pamela was a contractor of The Green and could communicate directly with The Green. Bruce wanted to speak with it through Pamela and obtain intelligence about the coming enemy.
But Pamela's botanical expertise truly astonished him. Bruce could not hold back any longer and asked incredulously, "I was only away from Gotham for a few weeks, right? How did you grow so many, uh, attacking plants?"
"Amazing, isn't it?" Pamela said irritably. With her arms folded, she began pacing among the flowerpots. "Then... how capable are they in a fight?"
"Want to try one?"
Bruce hesitated slightly. The idea of plants attacking people sounded rather absurd. He had never encountered anything like it before, and he truly could not imagine how aggressive those little green plants in their flowerpots could be.
"How about releasing a weaker one for me to see?" Bruce asked tentatively.
Pamela sighed and moved a pot of Assault Romaine Lettuce over from beside her feet. The moment she removed the cover from the pot,
