A slightly despairing roar echoed across the New York skyline.
Adam stood atop Stark Tower, watching Hulk race below with dozens of Spider-Men chasing after him. He covered his forehead, unable to imagine how things had developed to this point.
Because of Adam's existence and his extremely elevated status, there was much he could accomplish in this universe. It could be said that everything in the universe was under his control—except that Hulk was among the uncontrollable factors.
Although Hulk was not as much of a headache as Schiller, having Hulk emerge while he was already dealing with Schiller was simply an unparalleled disaster.
Adam wanted to stop Hulk, but he remembered that he had shown himself before Spider-Man. If he went down again and the Spider-Men recognized him, it would be disastrous if Spider-Man complained to Schiller.
He felt that he still had to rely on the original timeline to straighten out this now-chaotic story. Put simply, a programmer had come up with a new idea for fixing a bug.
Making use of the original timeline meant controlling Hulk's original opponent, preferably one who had once made Hulk suffer a setback, then defeating him naturally and turning him back into Doctor Banner.
The first thing Adam thought of was the Hulkbuster armor. Although Stark's armor usually had a habit of being countered by whoever it was meant to counter, things would be different with Adam's help.
The reason Adam made this choice was that humanity had truly scared him. As expected, armor that could not think was more reliable.
Adam immediately headed into Stark Tower. Naturally, Stark Tower's surveillance systems could not stop him, and he moved freely through Stark's inventory of suits. Unfortunately, after searching for quite a while, he found no Hulkbuster
