Natasha swept into the cabin like a whirlwind, swift and ferocious. Just as she was about to race up the stairs to the second floor, she saw Loki, who had just come in with Spider-Gwen, heading upstairs with a deck of cards in her hand.
"Loki, wait." Natasha rushed over and stopped Loki, looking into her green eyes. "What are you going upstairs for?"
"To find Gwen, obviously." Loki shrugged and showed Natasha the cards in her hand. "She promised to teach me how to play this before the food was ready, but Schiller called her upstairs to revise her paper before we even started."
"Uh, are you sure she only went up there to revise a paper?"
Loki gave Natasha a puzzled once-over, then licked her lips and said with an expression of slight disbelief, "Natasha, seriously? You fell for Schiller that badly?"
"I... Fine, listen, Loki. I know Schiller is unlikely to make a move on a minor, but you know how wild this Miss Gwen is. I don't want her staying in Schiller's room for too long."
Loki slowly took two steps back, looking at Natasha as though she were meeting her for the first time. Before she could ask anything else, Natasha grabbed her arm. "You're going up to find her, right? Then hurry up. It'd be best if you brought Gwen back down here, so Schiller can get started on the food."
Loki pursed her lips, looking somewhat confused, but in the end she shrugged and headed upstairs. Before long, she came back down with Spider-Gwen, who was still complaining nonstop.
"God, you saved my life, Loki. I almost thought he was going to eat me." With that, she laughingly slung an arm around Loki's shoulders, pulled her close, and flashed a bright white grin.
