Natasha looked at Schiller in surprise and let out a puzzled sound. "Huh?"
"I only came here to distract everyone else. You can imagine what measures they'd take if I said I was going to cause trouble for other gods again, can't you?"
"At the very least, they'd definitely follow you."
"I staged this little death scene precisely so they wouldn't follow me." Schiller turned back to Natasha, bared his teeth in a rather wicked grin, and said,
"Everyone who went fishing knows me well, and they know you well too. They wouldn't think we died together just because we had an argument. Based on what they know about me, they'd definitely assume I lured you into it."
"That was true."
"Even if they can't figure out that I deliberately set things up to get someone else to kill me so I could find Death, the other bait I laid earlier will be enough for two other geniuses to guess where I've gone."
"Tony Stark is one of them, right?"
"Of course he is. I deliberately ignored the miniature life-monitoring device he installed inside my watch, and I also added a bit of theatrical decoration to my old residence—the place they're most interested in."
