Schiller's psychological clinic was located on the top floor of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new base. It had an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and excellent lighting. From outside the building, one could see the Doctor standing by the window. Three floors below him, however, the atmosphere at the Spider-Army base was far more heated.
"God, they published another article on the weekly general-knowledge Web!!" Miles, who was typing at his computer, shouted. "They actually said that the critical philosophy developed in Europe was inspired by the God of the Void? The whole thing is complete nonsense!"
"Where? Let me see." Spider-Gwen immediately ran over. After frowning as she read the lines Miles pointed out with his mouse, she snorted. "Move aside. Let me reply to them. I have to make them understand just how absurdly wrong they are."
"They replied to me again, God." Another Spider-Man shouted. "How can they criticize every single word I said in such an out-of-touch way? I can't take this anymore!"
"Come look at this one. This line is even crazier. They actually called us the new NAZI, spouting nothing but extreme theories! I really can't stop myself from cursing him out."
"I'm under siege! I'm under siege!" Another miserable cry came from a workstation. "Four or five of them are taking turns replying to me. I can't keep up with them. Somebody come help me!!"
"The New York Times Twitter replies have already fallen. Can someone write a script or something to crush them? This is insane."
Shouts rose and fell throughout the Spider-Army base. After a while, middle-aged Peter Parker, whose wrists ached from typing, stood up and shook out his hands. "I'm really sorry, friends, but my time's up. Who can take over my shift? I have to go to Mayday's parent-teacher meeting."
