Peter Parker's physical examination report showed that he was in excellent health. The only problem was that it completely failed to account for the superhuman strength he displayed.
Batman had secretly conducted physical examinations on many people with superpowers, Superman among them. In fact, most instruments designed for human checkups could not display Superman's physical condition at all. Even Batman's specially customized equipment would either start beeping "beep beep beep" and show that he was beyond the measurable range the moment it touched Superman, or simply explode on the spot.
What was remarkable about Spider-Man's data, however, was that whether it was bone strength, muscle density, or cell activity, everything fell entirely within normal human parameters—or rather, at the healthiest possible average. There was not a single deficiency.
But based on those readings, Spider-Man should not have possessed that kind of endurance or strength. In other words, Spider-Man's superpowers did not come from a specialized physical structure, but from another mutation beyond the Physical Level.
"You've already found the problem, haven't you?" Peter tilted his head slightly, raised his hands to either side of his body, then shrugged. "The principle behind my Spider Mutation is still a mystery. Spider-Men from other universes told me before that it might come from the Spider Totem, but I've changed universes now and my abilities are still here. That means the mutation happened to my actual body."
"But who cares where it came from? As long as it still works." Peter casually sat down in a nearby chair, looking utterly relaxed in both expression and posture.
Batman frowned, then pulled down the corners of his mouth. Clearly, he did not agree with Spider-Man's view. In the past, whenever the other Robins saw that expression, they could already guess what he was thinking.
Then they
