"Officer! Officer! Here! Here! There are two hostages in the basement here! Sir, ma'am, don't be afraid! We're here to save you!"

Standing at the entrance to the dark cellar, Spider-Man called out to the two figures inside. His Spider-Sense had not sounded an alarm, which meant the two people inside might indeed have been innocents kidnapped by Joker.

At his call, Gordon led the officers into the cellar and rescued a married couple. Spider-Man watched the hostages being loaded into an ambulance as Gordon stood beside him and patted him on the shoulder.

"Hello, Sheriff. We meet again."

"So I can call you Robin now, right?"

"Of course not. I'm Spider-Man. Well, whatever. But I wanted to ask, what kind of criminal is this Joker? Is he the boss of all the criminals in this city?"

"He's the most dangerous criminal in this city—Batman's arch-enemy." Gordon sighed. He had just been about to light a cigarette, but when he looked back and saw Spider-Man, he put the lighter back into his pocket and continued, "Only Batman can handle the evil Joker."

Spider-Man blinked his compound spider eyes, his body language making it clear that he disagreed. At that moment, a black figure glided down from above the theater. Batman had returned.

"Spider-Man, come back with me. I need to tell you something."

Batman turned and walked away after saying that. He had assumed Spider-Man would follow, but Spider-Man continued looking at Gordon. Scratching his head, he asked Gordon, "Sheriff, do you have a list of this city's super-criminals? I think I should learn more about them."

"You should ask Batman about that." Gordon lightly punched Spider-Man's shoulder and said, "You did well this time, kid. See you next time."

After Gordon turned and left, Spider-Man looked a little lost.
