Before dawn the next morning, Harley was dragged out of bed by Barry. Bleary-eyed and swaying as she walked, she looked at the two boys, who were inexplicably energetic, and asked in confusion, "How can you two get up this early?"
"We didn't sleep all night."
Harley looked even more confused, then her eyes began darting back and forth between Barry and Little Bruce. Little Bruce impatiently shoved Barry aside and said, "We need to check the greenhouse, remember? We have to identify the missing plants."
Harley let out a huge yawn and turned back to change clothes. Before long, the three of them crossed the large garden, still covered in damp dew beneath the rising sun, and arrived once again at the small building beside the greenhouse.
Pamela did not live here, so she had not been around all night or that morning. The three entered through the front door, and Little Bruce found no footprints on the stone slabs in the courtyard.
"Either he was very careful and deliberately avoided stepping on the dirt, waiting for the night rain to wash away any traces on the stone path, or he can fly and never touches the ground at all. Otherwise, there's no way he wouldn't have left footprints."
As he spoke, the three circled around the building and reached the backyard. Little Bruce pointed at the flower stand in the little garden and said, "I clearly remember that the second row here was full of Spiral Grass, with Alien Cabbage underneath. Now four or five pots are missing."
"There's also an Alada Swamp Mushroom missing here. It's a mushroom from Malt, covered in sticky slime. That slime is usually used as a catalyst for healing potions."
