"Gods? You mean you have Angel and demon blood in you?"
Harley plopped down onto the soft oversized mattress Helen had conjured. Seeing Helen's slightly surprised expression, Harley spread her hands and explained, "Sorry, but I'm not from your universe. In fact, I don't even know the New York you just mentioned. The city I lived in was called Gotham, in New Jersey."
"New York isn't far from New Jersey." Helen hopped onto the bed as well, though she sat cross-legged in the middle of it and looked Harley up and down.
The platinum-haired girl before her was quite a bit older than she was, already in her teenage years. She had fair skin and sweet features, but for some reason, she carried a gloomy Gothic air about her—something rarely seen in girls her age.
"My other father—you could also think of him as my mother—was one of the Asgardian gods. You've heard of Norse Mythology, right?"
"So the gods in your universe are the Norse gods? Odin and the like?"
"Yes. What about your universe?"
"There are lots of them. Angels include Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel, and so on. Demons include Beelzebub, Azazel, and others. I heard Diana say before that Zeus was real too."
"Do you have Cosmic Demons in your universe?"
"What are those?"
"Um... powerful beings that live in the cosmos and are rarely understood by humans." Helen rubbed her cheek with one finger, seemingly unsure how to explain it to Harley. After thinking for a long time, she finally said, "They are the opposite of interstellar civilizations. Each entire species consists of only one powerful individual, and every one of them is different. The stronger ones can even occupy an entire dimension. They are called Dimensional Demon Gods.
