Though the artistic way of putting it was "Gazing into the Abyss," what Greed did after the update was far more than merely learning the Outer Gods' knowledge. Or rather, learning knowledge was only a means; the original purpose behind Greed's entire plan came from his most recent journey into the Abyss.

Several months ago, Greed had returned to the High Tower's interior rooms and undergone a version overhaul with Gray Mist's help. Since Batman and Iron Man's wisdom had originally also been partly given to Gray Mist, they often studied strange scientific theories together in the High Tower's rooms afterward.

One day, after staying cooped up in his room for several days, Greed wanted some fresh air. He stepped out and entered the elevator, only to find an extra button beneath all the floor buttons. It read "-1."

Greed raised a brow. Just as he was hesitating over whether to press it, the elevator doors opened and Superego entered. Greed pointed at the button and asked, "You really extended the elevator underground? Aren't you afraid they'll all crawl out together?"

"They can crawl out even without an elevator." Superego shook his head. "But they did ask for one. Mainly because the hole Pride punched in the floor was too inconspicuous. In half a year, there have already been more than sixty incidents of personality traits falling straight into it. Pathology was sick of picking up trash in the Abyss, so an elevator seemed safer."

"I suppose so." Greed nodded. "Pathology only seemed dangerous in the original world. In a superhero world, what do mental illnesses even amount to?"

Then he asked curiously, "Can I go down for a look? I've never really examined what it's like down there."
