Pamela braced both hands on the table, turned to Bruce, and said, "Are you just looking for trouble? You've already found the source of the power, so why do you care about these superficial disguises?"
"This isn't superficial." Bruce shrugged. "I found this method pretty useful. If foreign enemies invade, we can directly activate the Gotham Magic Force Field and fly into the sky, leaving the maze behind for the invaders. More importantly, the maze I build will definitely be better than theirs."
"Besides, if we want a bigger budget, we need a bigger project. I can't exactly tell the mastermind behind this that I need all this power to keep Gotham from getting traffic jams, can I? How would that funding ever get approved?"
Pamela immediately deflated. She waved a hand in front of herself and said helplessly, "I've realized you're getting more and more cunning. A businessman through and through!"
Lex, however, became interested. He rose from his chair and walked around to the other side of the table, lowering his head to examine the blueprints as he said, "This project does interest me a little, but first tell us how you found the source of the power and how you contacted the other side."
"That part wasn't difficult. There was no need to guess too much that the source was underground, but pinpointing its exact location was actually an accident."
