In Desaad's office at Apokolips Scientific Research Center, Desaad, dressed in a purple robe, roared furiously. The messenger and guards could only tremble against the wall, not daring to offer a single word of excuse. Clearly, they had suffered under Desaad before.
"Why did First Starport collapse? Why did Lord Darkseid sense chaos in Apokolips' force field? And what exactly is this disaster happening on the surface?!!"
"My lord, please calm your anger!" A civil official close to Desaad stepped forward and knelt on one knee. "We have already sent people to investigate."
"Investigate? The disaster has already affected Lord Darkseid, and you are still only investigating?!" Desaad extended a hand, and a golden whip of light coiled around his subordinate.
The subordinate painfully clawed at the whip around his neck, kicking desperately as he struggled. Desaad flung him into the nearby wall and said coldly, "I want to see this matter resolved immediately! No one is allowed to challenge Lord Darkseid's dignity!"
The subordinate clutched his throat and gasped, saying in broken breaths, "Y-Yes. Granny Goodness has already sent the Goddess of Vengeance Squad to investigate one of the anomalies on the surface..."
But Desaad suddenly narrowed his eyes. "Did Lord Darkseid summon her as well?"
"Apparently not. Lord Darkseid seemed to have issued his orders to her through a transmission."

Darkseid was telling Desaad that he was deeply disappointed, and reminding him that if the Prime Minister of the divine kingdom could not maintain order throughout the nation at all times, then perhaps dividing that power among others would be a good idea.
