As Venom crouched pitifully in the corner with his mouth covered, Stark looked at the two kids Schiller had brought with some surprise. He sized Harley and Barry up and down and said, "I thought the reinforcements you went to get were Batman. Turns out they're two kids. What can they possibly help with?"

"You'll find out when the time comes." Schiller gave the universal answer. He glanced up at the navigation map inside the Galactus Engine and said, "Let's head back to the Time Variance Authority first. We need to discuss the battle plan."

The Galactus Engine had once been a weapon built by the Vengeance Alliance of the metaverse to invade other universes, but Stark felt that turning the head of a god into a weapon was rather wasteful.

A weapon either needed enough firepower or enough precision, but the Galactus Engine had neither. How powerful a beam it could fire depended on how much energy was fed into it, and its targeting also required manual control. Considering the cost, it had absolutely no value for money. Any one of the Three Great Empires could produce plenty of cheaper substitutes; they simply were not as intimidating.

But if they made use of the rule-based properties inherent in a god's body, then it became an utterly unique and irreplaceable tool.

Under normal circumstances, creatures within a universe needed a dimensional jump device to cross dimensions, and they needed to build a portal to cross a universal barrier. But that alone was not enough. The hardest part was navigation.

A civilization without coordinates could not travel to a particular universe, but to learn a universe's coordinates, it first had to go there. Yet to get there, it first needed coordinates. It was another classic snow-mountain wolf-pelt dilemma.
