"How did you get here?"

A voice far raspier than usual echoed through the dark, empty room.

Helen merely watched Strange quietly. Strange raised his head and repeated his question, but Helen insisted, "You need to answer my question first, Sorcerer Supreme. Are you all right?"

"I'm fine. Better than ever." Strange braced himself against the floor and rose stiffly to his feet. Looking down at Helen, he asked, "How did you get here?"

Helen raised the suitcase in her hand and said, "We developed a machine that responds to summons. You happened to be summoning evil gods, and we answered your summons, so naturally we came here."

Helen looked up at Strange and asked, "Then why were you summoning evil gods?"

"You seem to know a lot about me." Strange narrowed his eyes.

"You're our professor and dean." Harley stepped forward, rubbing her still-churning stomach. "The you from another universe isn't just the Sorcerer Supreme. You're also the dean of Kamar-Taj Magic Academy and a professor at Gotham Magic Academy. We've all taken your classes."

"Another universe? A parallel universe, as you call it?"

Helen nodded. "That's right. We came from another parallel universe, and we're tracking someone who's been causing trouble."

Before Helen could finish, Strange stepped forward. He knelt on one knee, gripped Helen's shoulders with both hands, and stared at her intensely. "Then what about Christine in that universe? Is she still alive?"

"Who's Christine?" Helen asked him blankly.

"You don't know Christine? You've never seen her?" Strange's grip on Helen's shoulders tightened slightly. He instinctively noticed that the little girl's body was as hard as stone, but he had no time to care about that. He only wanted to know where Christine was.

Helen, Harley, and Barry looked at one another, then shook their heads
