Stark stood in the laboratory, staring at the police officer outside the door in shock. "What did you say?! Uncle Obadiah was murdered?!!! What the hell happened?!!"
The police officer shoved the door open and rushed in. Looking at Stark, he said, "About thirty minutes ago, Obadiah was found dead in his home by his driver. His throat had been slit. Footprints belonging to an outsider were found in the yard outside his door. The killer fled after the murder and is currently nowhere to be found."
Stark was stunned.
At that moment, an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and Coulson rushed in one after the other. The Federal Bureau of Investigation agent spoke first. "The wound on the victim's neck was caused by an energy weapon. The killer wasn't an ordinary Assassin. S.H.I.E.L.D. has taken over this case."
Coulson squeezed through the crowd, stepped forward, glanced at everyone, then lowered his voice and whispered into Stark's ear, "A thermal dagger. No doubt about it."
Stark sucked in a sharp breath. Everyone knew that miniature weapons and thermal weapons were synonymous with Wakanda.
Then he recalled Erik telling him that Obadiah had been behind his kidnapping, and how Erik had visibly grown anxious after seeing Stark's disbelief.
Had Erik killed Obadiah?
Things were escalating fast. Stark could no longer stay in the lab tinkering with his armor. He hurriedly pulled Coulson into an office to one side and asked, "Do we have any trace of the killer? Do we know where he went? Can our plan still proceed?"
"Nick says the plan continues as scheduled. The plane is ready. You have to go to Eastern Europe and take out those Hydra agents. We'll handle the rest."
At this point, Stark could only choose to trust Nick. He lowered his helmet
