Schiller, who had just shoved the brazier onto Kitty—or rather, Clayface—remained perfectly calm, as though he had done nothing at all.
Captain Marvel Carol looked at Schiller uncertainly. Schiller sighed softly and slipped his hands back into the pockets of his white coat. The brazier on the table vanished, replaced by diamond-shaped symbols before each of them, each facing its respective player. It hinted that, just as when they registered, they could leave the game by placing a hand on it.
Schiller turned to Carol and said, "Ma'am, aren't you leaving?"
"No, but I just want to know, what exactly..."
Joker roared impatiently, "Your acting is godawful! Stop making that stupid face!"
He suddenly twitched a muscle beside his nose again, then stared coldly at Carol. "Or I'll cut it open and see what's inside."
Carol jolted. Just as she was about to roar in anger, Schiller sighed again. For some reason, the Doctor's voice always seemed especially jarring in this room, because it was far too calm for the atmosphere of a competitive game.
"Ma'am, the game is over. Let's seriously talk about you. If you don't want to know The Truth, why not leave the game?"
Carol looked at Schiller, shocked and suspicious. Under his earnest, focused gaze, after several dozen seconds, all the shock, fear, panic, and other expressions drained from her face like a melting mask.
Then, starting from her forehead, Carol's skin gradually turned blue. Her fair complexion instantly faded away, revealing Mystique Raven's face.
"At what point did Kitty give herself away? And me?" she asked, clearly wanting confirmation of her own flaws from the two of them.
Unexpectedly, both Schiller and Joker sighed.
Joker leaned against the right side of the table, one elbow braced on it, lifting the hem of his suit
