"Murder! Murder! There's... there's a body!!!"
As the scream echoed through Nihrelet Manor, the entire estate instantly erupted into chaos.
Batman, standing by the window, did not look away. He silently calculated the time, and sure enough, at the end of the road before the manor's main hall, beyond the woods they had passed through on their way here, a bright yellow bus quietly pulled up at the stop.
But the game had only just begun.
When they entered Nihrelet Manor, everyone had understood that the game could not be so simple. Survive for one day and one night, board the bus, and win? What if they survived but could not get on the bus?
That was far from impossible. During the first night, they had all been out in the wilderness, with no fences or obstacles preventing them from boarding. But that did not mean every night would be the same.
Batman had already seen male servants running over with guns. This was not the Victorian Era; manor owners had modern weapons. When danger arose on their property, they had every right to defend themselves with firearms.
Even from that distance, Batman recognized the weapon as a semi-automatic rifle. Its effective range was enough to cover the distance from Nihrelet Manor's front hall to the bus stop.
What was more, the tallest structure in Nihrelet Manor was the clock tower. Standing atop it offered excellent firing positions, and anyone running below would be a sitting duck.
Even if their physical abilities had not been restricted, Batman would have needed to find a way to disarm them before running. With their strength limited, forcing a breakthrough was the worst possible choice.
The moment the commotion began, the male servants fetched weapons from the storage room, while another group of maids
