The footage on the screen played slowly, and perhaps due to deliberate editing by the host, Schiller and Bale-Batman spoke even more slowly, making the subtle fluctuations in their tones easier to hear.

Bale-Batman described his fairly extensive experience seeing psychologists, which indeed matched what Bruce had said. Bruce Wayne at this stage might have begun doubting his own mental state. He had seriously considered whether he was insane, so rather than merely undergoing a routine examination, he might have actively sought out a psychologist.

Bruce studied Bale-Batman's expression on the screen and said, "You can tell he trusted the Doctor fairly well. Maybe the Doctor examining him was someone close to him, which was why he could cooperate with the examination so smoothly."

"But Schiller's method of examination clearly caught him off guard." Bruce shook his head lightly and said, "I'm guessing he thought Schiller would ask how he'd been feeling lately, whether anything had been bothering him, things like that."

"Most psychologists ask that, don't they?" Spider-Man shrugged. "When I went to the Psychological Counseling Room at my high school, the teacher there opened with, 'How have you been feeling lately?'"

"Because mainstream psychology now leans more toward Behavior Analysis rather than psychoanalysis." Bruce frowned slightly. "Actually, I understand Behavior Analysis better too, because it has logic."

"What someone does leads to a certain psychological state, and that state then leads to certain behaviors. That's a very straightforward chain of reasoning. My scores in that area were very high."

"But psychoanalysis isn't like that. It feels more like blind guessing, or telepathy." Bruce wore a troubled expression, as though recalling something.
