"Bruce Wayne actually dared to go this far!" Admiral drew a deep breath. "Who did you hire? How did they get captured by a bunch of half-grown kids?"

"Not just that..." The lieutenant general beside him paused before changing his phrasing. "Those lunatics must have had a hand in it."

Admiral's expression turned grave. After his initial fury, he quickly regained his composure and said in a low voice, "Bruce Wayne may always be portrayed by the media as a playboy, but we all know he isn't."

"If he once needed to do outrageous things to maintain that disguise, then as you just saw, he has already bared his fangs. He has no intention of pretending anymore, so why would he resort to such childish revenge?"

"Exposing the fact that we secretly sent people into Gotham and had them approach Wayne Manor will indeed cause a public uproar," the younger general said.

But the old Admiral snorted, brushing the white hair at his temples. "You understand that the public has never been the ones deciding these matters. Other than embarrassing the military, this accomplishes nothing."
