Bruce froze.
In that moment, he gained an entirely new understanding of this game. At least, that was what he thought. Had this game become so utterly deranged in its pursuit of difficulty that it could directly create a little girl?
Bruce took a step back. Looking at the vividly expressive little girl before him, he simply could not believe that she was a virtual character created by the organizers.
After hesitating for a moment, he stepped forward, dropped to one knee, met the little girl's gaze, and asked, "What did you call me?"
The little girl looked a little confused, but soon revealed an expression of sudden realization. "You're the other Daddy."
Bruce froze again. It took him two or three seconds to react. He patted the little girl's head and said, "You're the daughter of a Bruce Wayne from another universe?"
The little girl nodded vigorously.
"What's your name?"
"My full name is Elizabeth Martha Wayne. You can call me Aisha." The little girl seemed to have memorized that very proficiently.
At the mention of Martha's name, Bruce's hand paused slightly. He patted the little girl's head again and called, "Aisha?"
Aisha nodded hard, flashing a radiant smile.
It would have been fine if she had not smiled, but that smile startled Bruce. The mouthful of sharp teeth added a touch of horror and eeriness to such an adorable little girl.
"Your teeth..."
"Um, dentist... um... braces." She was clearly much less practiced with this part, and Aisha stammered out only those two words.
Bruce squatted down, glanced back into the room, then pulled out the money in his pocket and counted it. With a sigh, he said, "All right. No matter which Bruce Wayne your father is, it looks like I'll have to take care of you.
