Bruce first called the Osborn Group and explained that he wanted to sign up. They gave him a designated pickup location, and before long, he boarded a car bound for the Medical Experiment Center. It was an experimental campus with an intensely futuristic feel, and the buildings looked brand-new, as though they had only recently been completed.
The staff welcomed Bruce warmly and complimented his appearance. By the time he reached the actual interview room, quite a few applicants were already waiting outside. Bruce observed them carefully and concluded that today was probably an all-white session; most of the applicants were young men with looks similar to his.
Still, Bruce was not bragging when he said that every aspect of his appearance was better than anyone else there.
The interviews were arranged alphabetically by name, so it was soon Bruce's turn. The moment he entered, he could clearly see the interviewer's eyes light up.
"Please, have a seat." The female interviewer lowered her head to look at the documents in her hands. After comparing Bruce's face with his photograph, she said, "You're even more handsome than in the photo. Please introduce yourself."
"Hello, my name is White Rabbit."
That was obviously a fake name, but that was what the identification Bruce Wayne had received said. So in this world, he was White Rabbit, not Bruce Wayne. Even if he were Bruce Wayne, it would not have done him much good. This universe had no Wayne Enterprises; the richest man in the world was some guy named Tony Stark.
After the routine questions about his name, age, physical condition, and so on, the interviewer folded her hands on the desk and asked, "When did you first notice the changes in your appearance?"
