"Tell me where he is, Mr. Parker." Gordon's voice was colder than usual. Anyone could see the madness gripping him.
Peter understood as well. Lives were at stake now. Gordon was probably one of the rare righteous detectives capable of standing against Kingpin amid the chaos. He needed Gordon to stay rational.
But Peter had no idea where the girl named Barbara was. He did not even know which safe house Kingpin was currently using. That man had countless hideouts, over a hundred in New York alone. Now that the two cities had merged, finding him would be even harder.
Peter was frantic, but then his call, which he had temporarily put on hold, rang. Apparently, once his consciousness returned to the real world, time started flowing again.
"What's wrong? Is your signal bad over there?" Constantine's hoarse voice came through Peter's ear.
Peter had no choice but to pull his consciousness away again and become the Mist Walker, appearing before Constantine. Then he suddenly remembered his deal with Constantine and got an idea.
"Next question." Constantine said, "Which university did Sohip graduate from? I'd like to add the specific college. Of course, you can add corresponding details to your question as well."
Peter immediately felt confident, so he answered.
"Oxford University, College of All Souls. He is one of its seven Honorary Fellows."
Constantine sucked in a sharp breath.
"My turn." Peter took a deep breath and asked, "Where is Barbara Gordon, daughter of Gotham Police Department Sheriff James Gordon? I need the exact location."
Constantine froze slightly, then immediately understood. "You have other followers? Does he need help?"
Peter did not answer. He truly was not good at this sort of verbal maneuvering, and afraid of being tricked into revealing something, he chose to remain silent.
"Wait here."
