Joker! Was! Being interrogated!
Joker gritted his teeth and roared those words in his mind, even beginning to suspect that Batman was sitting across from the interrogation chair.
But heaven refused to oblige him. Sitting opposite that green-haired figure was nothing more than an ordinary policewoman, and when Joker shifted his angle slightly, he found that the restraints on the man's hands were just ordinary handcuffs.
Joker knew that in the Gotham Slums, these cuffs were generally called the Sheriff's dignity. Anyone who let these cuffs remain on their wrists was really just giving the Sheriff some dignity.
Put plainly, these things could not restrain anyone, at least not anyone Joker knew, including Spider-Man. Especially Spider-Man. Joker would bet that kid could sneeze and snap those handcuffs in two.
To make sure that the Joker inside really was Joker, and that he was only staying here because of some secret plan, Joker had no choice but to lean closer and listen to what they were saying.
Joker was discussing his own criminal plan.
In a police station responsible for public security in an Affluent Area, he was explaining to a policewoman whose face screamed that she wanted to get off work how he planned to hijack Toyman from a prison van, create vicious toys, and then kill Bruce Wayne.
But that was not actually the most shocking part. What made Joker feel as though ages had passed was that after listening for only two minutes, he had spent one and a half of them fighting off sleep.
Joker truly did not know how anyone could make a criminal plan sound so hypnotic. Even if someone put a recorder here and submitted the recording to a television station, they would not dare air that kind of soporific material during prime time.
